Plotafile is built to know as little about you as possible. This policy explains what little we do handle.

Your Files Never Leave Your Device

Plotafile runs in your browser. Files you open are read and plotted on your own device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else, and we can’t see them.

What’s Stored on Your Device

The app saves your settings (theme, pane sizes) and license key in your browser’s local storage. With a Pro license it also saves your layout, Modify steps and loaded DBC file, so your setup is still there next time; without one, those are kept only until you close the tab. It stays on your device, is readable only by you, and is removed if you clear your browser’s site data. The measurement data in your files is never stored.

No Accounts, Cookies or Ad Trackers

There are no accounts or logins, and we don’t use cookies or advertising trackers. The app never sends anything about your files anywhere.

Visit Counts

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you. When a page loads, it records the page address, the site that linked you here, your browser, device type and country, and how fast the page loaded. It never sees your files or what you do with them. The offline copy doesn’t include it.

When You Buy a License

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our reseller and merchant of record. Your card and billing details go to Dodo Payments and are handled under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.

From each purchase we receive your name, email address and order details. We use them to issue your license key, which contains your name and email address, to help you recover it, and to contact you about your license if we ever need to. We keep this record for as long as your license exists. We don’t sell it, share it, or send marketing.

When You Email Us

If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you. Our email is handled by our email provider.

Hosting

The website is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Your Rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@plotafile.com. If we delete your purchase record, we can no longer help you recover a lost key.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top.
